Rêves Féminins

Developed over a semester of studying psychoanalysis through the writings of Freud and Jung, this photography project emerged from the intimate rhythms of an apartment I shared with nine other women. Mornings became a ritual of recounting dreams, tracing recurring symbols, and considering what our sleeping minds might reveal to one another. As we grew familiar with each woman’s particular dream imagery, we began to recognize echoes across our accounts: shared themes that brought our otherwise private inner worlds into conversation.

The photographs attempt to evoke this exchange—the tenderness of offering a dream to others and the closeness formed through interpreting it together. Moving between individual experience and collective imagination, the project explores how dreams, once spoken and received, become part of a shared domestic life. It is a study of women dreaming alongside one another, and of the quiet intimacy of trying to understand what another person sees when she closes her eyes.
